How to replace old toggle two way switch with new touch two way switch?

"How can I replace the old toggle two-way switch with a new touch two-way switch?" Somebody asked me this question a couple of days ago. I told him it’s so easy to do the job. It’s some simple work rather than complicated wirings. You know why? Well, let me show you the reason here today.

Now please have a look at the following figure. It is the connection diagram for toggle two-way switch. As described below, the live wire is connected to switches, then flow to the light. The other side of the load is then connected to neutral wire. When both Switch1 and Switch2 are at ON position, the lamp will be ON (picture on the left). If Switches1 or Switch2 is at OFF position, the lamp will be OFF (picture on the right).

For the new touch two-way switch, its wiring actually is the same as toggle switch. See the following diagram. Live line is connected to the switches. The other side of the load is then connected to neutral line through the light. If you want to replace toggle two-way switch with touch two-way switch, all you need to do is just changing the switches.

Or you choose another way of wiring, which is a little different from that of toggle switch. This time when one switch is connected with another by communication wire A&B, all other connections can be finished through any one switch.

Take note that when doing the wiring, make sure the power supply is disconnected from the load and the switches.
