What is Toggle / Momentary / Latched Modes

Generally there are three working modes for rf remote controls : toggle, momentary, latched. Toggle mode is used most often. Controlling lamp, for example, press the button of remote, turn on the lamp; press the button again, turn off the lamp. Momentary mode can be set to control rolling blind or rolling door. You need to press and hold the button of remote to make the blind or door open/close. Both toggle and momentary mode are motivated by single relay, which means you can work these two modes with single button remote. As regards the latched mode, it is motivated by relay group. For relay group, only one relay will be on at a time, e.g. press remote button A, relay A will be on, and relay B will be off; press remote button B, relay B will be on, and relay A will be off. To be more specific, when you control the lamp by latched mode, you should prepare at least two buttons remote. Press button A, the lamp is on; press button B, the lamp is off. Reverse DC Motor By 2-Channel Simple RF Remote Control System

Image
Reversing motor can be applied to conveyors, awnings , winches ; or electrically operated doors, windows, blinds or other mechanicals and appliances. Generally we use motor controller to reverse motor. Easy wire connection makes it easy to operate. But if you just have ordinary wireless remote controls , is it possible to use them to reverse the motor? The answer is yes. Take dc motor for example, today we’ll talk about how it works. Firstly you need to prepare: 1 x 2 channel receiver in dc12v (latched mode) 1 x 3 buttons transmitter 2 x dc12v power adapters Some lines Secondly, see the wiring diagram below, K is normally open terminal; B normally closed terminal and D common terminal. Connect terminal K to the positive and connect terminal B to the negative. Terminal D is supposed to be connected to the motor. In order to avoid interference to motor, power supply for the motor and the relays should be different. Initial state: terminal B & D are normall

Difference between Wall Mount Switch and RF Remote Control Switch

Image
Generally we use special light switches to control lights. They usually are wall mounted, such as toggle light switch, touch control light switch, remote control switch, etc. But actually the rf remote control switches can also be used to control lights. Then there may be questions like that when should we use wall mounted light switch or rf remote control switch; what are the differences between the both. The first question, if the house is well wired, we suggest you choose wall mounted switch. Cause the wire in the house is always like the following picture on the right; two lines L&N ready for wiring. Live line can be connected to the terminal “L” of switch, the terminal “L1″ connected to the light. The other side of the light can be connected to the neutral line. And if you want to install the switch outside the door or other places where wiring is not set up, both wall mounted switch and rf remote control switch are ok. For the former, you need to install it i

Touch Light Switch Application in Home Automation

Image
Touch light switch is an intelligent switch. In addition to the traditional on/off functions, it can also be upgraded to: touch remote control switch, touch dimmer switch, touch timer switch, two way touch switch, etc. Today we’re going to talk about how these touch switches are applied to the home automation. General touch light switch You can have it everywhere in the house. With elegant crystal glass panel, it will please you and fit in home decoration. It is easy to be sensed. Just touch it gently you can turn on/off a lamp. Single live wire control makes it easy to install; replace the old switch directly. Besides, it is a silent switch, free from noise pollution and environment-friendly. Remote control switch Touch remote control switch gives you two choices: directly touch the switch, or use remote controller to control light. Since the remote controller is able to work through walls and the remote distance up to 20 meters, you can also have it everywhere in the hous

How to replace old toggle two way switch with new touch two way switch?

Image
"How can I replace the old toggle two-way switch with a new touch two-way switch?" Somebody asked me this question a couple of days ago. I told him it’s so easy to do the job. It’s some simple work rather than complicated wirings. You know why? Well, let me show you the reason here today. Now please have a look at the following figure. It is the connection diagram for toggle two-way switch. As described below, the live wire is connected to switches, then flow to the light. The other side of the load is then connected to neutral wire. When both Switch1 and Switch2 are at ON position, the lamp will be ON (picture on the left). If Switches1 or Switch2 is at OFF position, the lamp will be OFF (picture on the right). For the new touch two-way switch, its wiring actually is the same as toggle switch. See the following diagram. Live line is connected to the switches. The other side of the load is then connected to neutral line through the light. If you want to replace toggle

Difference between traditional two-way switch and new electrical touch two-way switch

Image
Various electrical touch two-way light switch from  https://www.remote-control-switch.com Generally speaking, two-way switch controls one light from two locations: for example, the long hallway could have a switch at each end to control one hall light. Or a large family room that has two entrances could have a switch at both entrances to operate one overhead light. A two-way switch allows you to turn on the light conveniently when you enter an area rather than stumble through the dark to find the switch. Now we are going to talk about the difference between traditional two-way light switch and new electrical touch two-way switch. First of all, let’s see what are traditional two-way switch and new touch two-way switch. Traditional two-way switch has a single pole double throw configuration (SPDT). Each has a common terminal (COM) with a pole that can be switched between position L1 or L2. As diagram below shows, the live wire is connected to Switch1, and flow to the lamp through L1

Two way switch, or three way switch?

Image
Switches are classified according to the arrangement of their contacts in electronics. Electricians installing building wiring use different nomenclature, such as "one-way", "two-way", "three-way" and "four-way" switches, which have different meanings in North American and British cultural regions. If we say one-way switch in British cultural regions, it will be described as two-way switch in North American regions; and two-way switch will be described as three way switch and so forth. As a result, sometimes people will make misunderstanding about them. For example, people from USA say two-way light switch actually is called one-way light switch in UK. And if they don’t know the reason, they will get into a fight. Table below is to distinguish the difference between them. (Pole means separate circuit which are controlled by a switch. Throws means separate position that the switch can adopt.) Excellent two (three) way light switch from

Remote Control Light Switch - More Convenience

When using traditional light switch, most of people would complain that they have to get up to turn off the light every time when they intend to go sleep. This can be a real pain, especially for the wheel chair users or people with limited mobility. Now a new and improved remote light switch allows you to control your lights wirelessly. This kind of switch is more beneficial than the traditional light switch and is especially useful for people with impaired mobility and other problems. It acts much like a remote controlled lighting fixture; controlled by a radio or other signal and does not require an operator to touch the switch. You simply install the switch to an overhead light and when you flip the switch, a small charge is produced by a miniscule generator. This charge is what actually powers the small control and sends out the signal that is received by your light fixture and the light is turned on/off. The remote switch uses batteries with a low and safe voltage; avoiding t

What is a touch light switch?

Light switch is a switch most commonly used to operate electric lights, permanently connected equipment, or electrical outlets. Switches for lighting may be in hand-held devices, moving vehicles and buildings. Residential and commercial buildings usually have wall-mounted light switches to control lighting within a room. They are often recessed within a finished wall. Wall plates are available in different styles and colors to blend in with the style of a room. Traditional light switch generally refers to contact switch. Easy to bad contact, high failure rate and inconvenient to use are its main defects. However, new touch light switch, also known as static switch, is characterized by non-contact, weak-current control and maintenance free. Single live wire control makes it easy to install; replace the old switch directly. Besides, it is a silent switch, free from noise pollution and environment-friendly. Touch light switch has very low activation forces; as low as it is reasonabl

How to choose a right wall light switch?

Since wall light switch is closely related with human security, consumers should choose high security switches. There are many different kinds to choose from, and some might suit your project better than others. Here are some advice to help you make the right decision. Switch panel Size of switch panel should be consistent with that of connection box. Remember to bear in mind that choosing switch panel which has smooth surface, visible brand identity, anti-fake label and safety certification mark. Flame retardation and soundness of switch material is necessary. Generally speaking, height of switch should be 1200~1350 mm, the distance along the door frame 150 to 200 mm, and height of outlet 200 to 300 mm. Switch security Internal wire connection plays a great role in switch's security. At present the most advanced connection mode is speed terminal connection structure. It is very simple; all you need to do is to insert the wire into the terminal. There is no exposure

How does touch two way light switch work?

Image
What is touch two way light switch? Touch two way light switch has three terminals respectively connected for light, live wire and neutral wire (see diagram below). When operating the switch, three terminals must be connected at the same time to work normally. Usually two switches controls on/off for one lamp/light. For example, you can use switch downstairs to turn on the light; while use switch upstairs to turn off the same light. So you are free from the trouble of running up and down to turn on/off the light. What is it used for? Two way light switch widely works with all types of lights including incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, fluorescent lamps, energy saving lamps and so on, for the purpose of making the house more comfortable with easy installation and use. How does it work? It is simple working steps by steps. Just do as follows: Matching steps: Touch slightly the icon on the switch connected with lamp for 5 seconds; take away your finger when you hear the sound o
